Kids Health First: Created for Pediatricians by Pediatricians
Begun in 1997 by a group of pediatricians, Kids Health First is a physician-directed organization focused exclusively on the practice of pediatrics. Our alliance of 34 independent practices and more than 180 pediatricians works diligently to provide the most compassionate and clinically advanced standards of care to patients and their families.
Our mission statement is simple:
To improve children's healthcare and enhance the practice of medicine through our network of clinically integrated pediatric practice members.
When your child is seen by a pediatrician in our network, you can rest assured that he or she is receiving the best care available anywhere in the country. In fact, Kids Health First has been recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions and Services and "Immunize Georgia's Little Guys" for our work to advance the practice of pediatric medicine. Some of our initiatives have included:
- Clinical research studies, in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and local and national research universities, such as Vanderbilt and Emory Universities
- Ongoing medical education on the latest clinical protocols
- Development and implementation of "best practices" policies throughout the network
- Advanced methods for medical recordkeeping, including electronic medical records (EMR)
